OSTERIA LUCA

Wagner Murray worked with True Crafted Group's ownership to renovate an existing restaurant that had been untouched for almost 40 years. This 3,500 SF tenant space in popular Park Road Shopping Center presented many challenges through it's age and layout. Our design team crafted an efficient layout for back-of-house operations with a narrow kitchen design, open pizza oven bar, and a slab addition on the back of the building for a new walk-in cooler. This allowed for a spacious front dining area and maximum seat count capacity.

The restaurant concept was inspired by traditional Osteria's found throughout Italy. Clean lines, high ceilings, terracotta accents, natural wood tones, and a variety of decorative light fixtures generate a warm and inviting atmosphere. A major part of the renovation included revising the main façade and entry to maximize daylight and functionality within the interior. A new floor-to-ceiling storefront system helps draw in patrons passing by in the shopping center.

The Takeaway

The tenant footprint posed significant challenges in space planning this restaurant. Never shying from a creative challenge, our team designed an efficient commercial kitchen that was just 12 feet deep, while keeping the dining areas airy and intimate.
